What are Far Infrared Rays (FIR) and Where Do They Come From?

FIR or Long Wave Infrared Rays are the safest and most beneficial light waves for the human body, from the sun.  FIR is a form of energy that is part of the electro-magnetic light frequency of sunlight that is not visible to the human eye.   FIR Technology was first brought to us by nature herself.  All living things emit FIR.  Traditionally we’ve gotten our daily dose of FIR from sunlight.  However, most of us being indoors or in the car, it is getting much harder for us to get our healthy does of FIR from the Sun.

The first research on isolating, or mimicking Far Infrared Light was done through NASA in the 1960’s.  NASA in the early 1980s concluded that infrared therapy would be an ideal way to stimulate cardiovascular function during long space missions.  NASA released the patent for generating FIR for public use in the early 90’s.  Recently, several scientists in Japan extended this technology and designed a way to create fibers to be worn on the body that emit wavelengths the same as natural Far Infrared Light from the sun, yet more concentrated.

Long Wave Infrared Rays (FIR) not only warm our bodies, but they stimulate various bodily functions. They can make our bodies feel fully charged. When Far infrared rays are beamed into the body, they are absorbed by the body and they resonate through it, similar to the sound and energy waves of a bell when it is struck.
